An artisanal jewelry and small furnishings workshop in the historic center of Otranto. The objects are crafted by owner Emiliana Pede, who, with immense creativity, reimagines natural subjects through expertly crafting colorful yarns and fabrics.

Emiliana creates accessories, upholsters objects, breathes new life into discarded materials, and creates works that tell stories of the past and encourage the reuse of materials and objects.

"Trama di Pesci," Emiliana Pede's latest environmental initiative, follows previous projects that transformed abandoned buoys into installations and jellyfish made from discarded materials. The heart of this new project also lies in the creative transformation of difficult-to-dispose waste, such as mussel nets and bottle caps—materials that would otherwise deteriorate and pose a serious threat to marine life. They were collected directly from the beaches of Brindisi and Lecce and meticulously processed and transformed into 700 "network fish."

The installation extends for 50 meters along Via Roma, with 50 suspended wires—one every meter—on each wire, 10 to 15 fish are suspended.

The project's intent goes beyond a simple art display: it aims to highlight the importance of collecting and transforming waste, as opposed to purchasing new decorations. As the artist herself expressed: "We are all good at buying and hanging, but few know how to collect and transform." A real provocation driven by the need to raise awareness among future generations about the importance of removing existing waste rather than adding new ones.
