Giorno 1: Old Town
Our tour of Otranto must begin at "Porta Terra," the entrance to the historic center.
Entering through this gate, we find ourselves in a triangular space, a sort of parade ground, built in the early decades of the second half of the 16th century.
Opposite, the Porta Alfonsina, built in the 15th century by order of Alfonso of Aragon, is the main gate to the Aragonese city.
