Gallipoli

Already known to the ancient Greeks for the beauty of its coastline, the ancient city of Kalè-Polis today preserves a fascinating testament to the Baroque influence in Salento. The extravagant floral motifs that characterize the villages, squares, and the Cathedral will provide the backdrop for this itinerary of culture, shopping, and relaxation.

Gallipoli

Gallipoli is the "Beautiful City" with a dual soul: the sun, the sea, the splendid coastline, and its famous nightlife on one side, and its historic center, which has witnessed centuries of history, on the other.

In the summer, the "Pearl of the Ionian" welcomes thousands of visitors seeking azure sea, enchanting beaches, and bars open day and night. But even outside the typical summer season, Gallipoli is never short of tourists.

The city is divided into two distinct zones: the historic center, surrounded by Roman and Byzantine fortifications, stands on an island connected by a stone bridge to the so-called "borgo nuovo," the more recent part.

Those seeking sea, relaxation, and nightlife will find their favorite spots along Gallipoli's long coastline, from Lido Conchiglie to Rivabella beach, from Lido San Giovanni to the stunning Baia Verde, which rivals Caribbean landscapes. Those who want to immerse themselves in history and art can indulge in the old city, from the imposing Angevin Castle to the many churches to admire just a few meters from each other, such as the Cathedral of Sant'Agata in Lecce Baroque style and the Church of Santa Maria della Purità.
